Worse than I thought

Well, Eric's job is turning out to be even worse than we thought. He was off on Friday and showed up for work today to find out there was no work again. He spent four hours waiting to hear if there would be work for the day and there wasn't. Now, there is an all day training tomorrow for NO PAY! The boss told him tonight on the phone that he had more people than he needed. You've got to be kidding me!!!! They told him they had lots of work and there would be plenty of overtime. Clearly this job is going to need to be as temporary as possible but there is still nothing else set in stone so he can't leave yet. I have to believe there is a reason for all of this and there is something good waiting for him.
