Busy Week

Wow, it's been a busy week and that has reflected in my blogging or lack there of. Madison was back in preschool, I'm taking a class with Kennedy, I have a three hour class two nights a week, Madison started a dance class, I'm taking a class with both girls once a week and then there is the new bedtime routine, errands, finding time to read and study and regular appointments. CRAZY...just how I like it. The busier the better but there is plenty of downtime in the afternoons so it's not non-stop every day.
Kennedy is doing so much better at bedtime and not even crying for 5 minutes most nights. I hesitate to say much about it because it's still early and it could change but I'm still uneasy about the whole thing. She absolutely hates everything surrounding bedtime (reading, putting her bunny and dolly to bed, etc.). It really makes me sad to see how scared and upset she is leading up to bedtime so I refuse to admit this is a good method until that goes away. Bedtime should not be something to fear and, at this point, she does. Will keep you posted on this.
I am really enjoying my Bio class. Last night was lab and we talked about some upcoming labs we are going to be doing. Those of you that know me well will know I was quite horrified and very intrigued to learn we will be doing a lab on bacteria. I am a complete germaphobe so I'm sure this lab will do nothing but reinforce my knowledge that germs are everywhere (anbd out to kill us all) and I will be even more mortified than normal when out in public. I do find it all very interesting even though I am terrified of germs. I was a little nervous to be back in school again but I love college, there is always a wide array of ages and people and I soon felt at ease.
The other big event of the past week is all the flooding that is going on. We have had incredible flooding and people's homes and businesses have been effected. Thankfully we are not close enough to a body of water to have to worry about this but people all over the county and state are really being effected by all the water. Thankfully the water level is going down but there will be plenty of damage and cleanup left to deal with. My heart goes out to these people and I'm happy to see there have been lots of shelters and churches opening their doors to people who didn't have a place to stay.
Well, I think that about catches me up on the blog. This weekend will be spent reading while Eric spends some time with the girls and we'll probably do something all together on Sunday. Cleaning and errands should probably be on my weekend to-do list but, well...they aren't. Maybe next weekend......
