We did our first family camping trip last night. We had the best time! Some good friends of ours invited us to camp with them at the BP Rec area here in Ferndale. It was the best place to camp with so many fun things for the kids to play on. It's a really safe place and there wasn't many people at all. It was so nice to be able to relax and let the kids play without worrying about them. The campsite was right next to the play area so the kids could run around and play and we could always see them. The picture above is one of two big tires the big kids had fun climbing up and sliding down. The kids absolutely loved camping and can't wait to do it again!

We had two tents so each of us could sleep (or at least stay in the tent) with one of the kids. I didn't really sleep. I was cold and uncomfortable but I think it will get better with some practice. We really had no idea what we were doing or how it would go so I think it went well considering. As you can see behind the tents Eric is pushing some of the kids on the swings.

Notice Kennedy's clothes. Eric changed her diaper but managed to get both her legs in one leg hole. He had no idea and brought her out as oblivious as could be. It was hilarious.
