I'm here!

I'm here despite my lack of blog posts lately. I hate it when my blog reflects my mood so blatantly but no news is just that.....no news.
Eric's is continuing to make follow up calls and visits as well as apply at new places when he can actually find one he hasn't applied at. Something will happen when it's supposed to. I think we've sort of decided to give it a few more months and then he will have to take something out of town, probably out of state but that's a ways off and we are really hoping it doesn't come to that.
On a lighter note, we are preparing for our camping trip to Birch Bay this weekend. We are excited and drove by the campsite the other night to see what we're in for. It was so neat in there and covered by trees. I had never actually driven into the campsite areas before so it was cool. The girls are excited although Kennedy doesn't exactly know what we are talking about. It doesn't stop her from clapping and giggling though.
School is approaching and I'm feeling a little anxious. I'm excited to finally be taking the class but I know it will be a time commitment and I'll have to really buckle down. I hope I find it interesting, that will make all the difference. I'm sure I will, what's not fascinating about the human body?
I'm really enjoying some good books lately so being forced to read a textbook instead of what I want to read will take some discipline. In fact, Lisa and I started a book club and we've got several people joining us so I'm really excited about that. There are SO many good books to choose from it was difficult for me to pick some as options for my month.
Anyway, I wanted to post a quick update. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and soaking up every last bit of it before fall. As for us I think we've enjoyed this summer and being outside more than any other summer in the past despite some of our other struggles. We've had so much fun with the new play structure, Eric and I were just talking about how happy we are that we got that for the girls. They are on it every day and Madison is even going outside by herself to swing. I never thought that would happen. We've enjoyed the wonderful weather, being in the backyard, BBQ's with friends, tending to the vegetable garden and had our first family camping trip. I've been reading some good books which I haven't done in years and we've had some field trips and plenty of play dates. I've also made taking some time for myself a priority this summer and I can't even begin to explain what that's done for me. It's been a fun summer and one we'll remember for lots of reasons.
