Pumpkins, Bowling, Birthday but no Camera

Eric's birthday was on Saturday. The girls and I had a whole day of fun planned to celebrate his day but I forgot my camera.
We started by heading to Hovander Park for their annual Pumpkin Day. The girls each got a pumpkin and we also got flowers, corn stalks for the front door, apples, and a sunflower head (for feeding the bird). They offer this each year for free to the community, it's a lot of fun!
After that we made our way to The Grace Cafe for a coffee and breakfast treat. Then it was time for bowling. We bowled for about an hour and a half and got a pizza for lunch. It was fun bowling with the bumpers but bowling is not my best game.
After that we headed to Fairhaven. Madison and I went to the book store while Eric and Kennedy had a  cupcake at Katie's. We finished our activities at church. Can I just mention how much I LOVE the current series at Cornwall. It's so timely and relevant. They are a big church and have to appeal to college kids so there is always a contemporary feel in the message and music but the messages apply to everyone if you look past the flash that sometimes accompanies it. I can appreciate flash, if it draws young people in to listen to the messages it serves a purpose and I happen to love the music. In the years of going to Cornwall this has been my favorite series by far. You miss the music and prayer on the podcasts so it's not quite the same but if anyone is moved to watch here is a link. Last weekend was the 3rd message in the series and there are 5 more, I believe.
I got a little off track there but after church we went home and had dinner. It was a full day of fun and Eric said it was his best birthday ever. That is pretty good considering he has had 41 of them : )
