6 1/2 Weeks Post-Op

I have lots of stuff to blog about but I'm no home and I'm on my laptop without all of my photos so I thought I would post a quick update about my recovery. I will get to the fun stuff soon, it's been busy and I just haven't found the time.
I'm doing so much better than I was. I've been taking my iron religiously as well as the B vitamins. They are helping. I still don't have the energy that I want to have and still feel quite tired much of the time. I need to get back to the gym, that will help so much I'm sure. My iron levels are still low but I am no longer considered anemic according to my doctor. She said my body does a fantastic job of reproducing red blood cells, yay! I also got my holter monitor results back and they didn't show any premature beats or arrhythmias. I was relieved to hear that news. Those "episodes" are all gone for the most part and I'm sure it had everything to do with the lack of nutrition, stress, anxiety, sleep deprivation and all the the other related things I was dealing with after the ER visit/hemorrhage. A friend today told me that she was told by her doctor that she needed her tonsils out. My eyes glassed over an I had to compose myself so I didn' break down in tears. I know not everyone would have the trouble I had but the thought of anyone I know going through this is scary.
So, I would say I'm about 90% from where I was before the surgery. I am still lacking energy due to low iron and vit. b levels and the fact that I haven't been exercising. I also have not been able to kick this cold/cough/phlegm stuff that I have had for weeks on end. I have yet to fully feel how amazing it is to sleep without the huge tonsils in my throat because of the cold symptoms but I can tell I am breathing so much better when I'm laying down despite the cold.
I'm so thankful the heart episodes have resolved and there wasn't more to that. My doctor wanted me to stay on the low dose beta blocker for another 2 months and then I will wean off of them.
Now comes the fun part of finding a crisp new medical bill in the mail each day. Lucky me : ) All in all I'm so glad the majority of it all is behind me.
I'll blog soon about dance recitals, Christmas, my pajama party, and anything else I can find time for. Until then, I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. This Christmas was the most relaxing, fun and magical one ever. We didn't buy the girls that much this year for a variety of reasons and it ended up being so filled appreciation, candle lighting, and a true celebration of Jesus' birthday.
