Eric has been at his new job for two days now. He seems to really like it and also says he is working with really nice people. He got a phone today (yippee, I get mine back) and will get a truck by next week. Things appear normal again but they are far from it. This whole experience has done a lot to us and we are still licking our wounds and evaluating things. I hope we come out of this stronger and smarter about a lot of things. There has been a lot of good from it already so I know there was a reason for it all.
It's such an embarrassing thing to happen and I really appreciate everyone who helped us through it. It's not exactly an Oscar speech but I would like to thank Jennifer C. who called daily to check in on me and offered me a lot of spiritual guidance. I also want to thank my mom who has been paying for Madison's preschool so we didn't have to take her out of it. That really meant a lot to us. Thanks to Lisa for calling to talk to me even when I wouldn't answer the phone and to Megan for sending a very nice and thoughtful card. Everyone else was supportive and there if I needed them to talk to about it or to talk to about anything BUT it. Even my friends from far away (Terri and Angela) sent very nice and helpful emails. I am much more comfortable offering help than asking for it but it meant so much to know so many people were willing to do whatever they could.
Okay, I don't think I could have gotten anymore corny : )
