Update

I've finished reading the Twilight series. The last book, Breaking Dawn, was probably my favorite. It took me much longer to read the last one because I was trying to slow down and not rush through it like I did the first three. It's also longer and a bit more to digest than the rest with lots of new characters introduced at the end. So good!!! If you haven't read these books I think you would enjoy them and hope you get a chance to.
Thanks Polly for loaning me a couple more books to read, I look forward to starting of them soon but I've got to get caught up on stuff around here since every spare minutes has been taken lately.
It's been a long week and a half with Eric off work. It couldn't be a worse time right now to be looking for a job and I am trying to brace myself for a long term lay off but still holding out hope he gets lucky. He got offered a job in Arizona and they would fly him home every 2 1/2 weeks for 5 days, ugh! He also got a call back from Spokane but hasn't talked to him yet. I'm not really willing to relocate just yet so we'll see what happens. We do have some savings and he should be getting some unemployment next week or the week after so we'll just ride it out the best we can. I'm trying hard not to freak out like I did last time but it's taking a lot of effort on my part and I'm not sure I'm even succeeding. It is just money after all.
I took the girls to Wenatchee this past week for a couple of days. We left Tuesday and came home on Thursday. We had fun and enjoyed the beautiful weather. It was hot but not too hot so it was actually pleasant. Kennedy fell into my brothers swimming pool. He strapped a life vest on her because she was playing right next to the edge of the pool and it was a bit too big/long. He secured it really tight and she went to bend down to get a ball on the edge of the pool and couldn't bend at the waist because the vest was too long and she went head first right into the pool. That life vest did the trick and she popped right back up and flipped onto her back. Her face was filled with horror but it was funny in a cute way too (is that mean?). It didn't phase her and she was back to playing way too close to the edge soon after. My nephew was the only one swimming so I didn't have her go in.
I get the strangest feeling when I go back to Wenatchee. It's strange for me to visit the town I grew up in, there are so many memories there. I can't pass one street in that town without several memories coming back to me. It's quite strange to be back there and see my old high school, places I hung out all the time and the house I grew up in. So much has changed but so much hasn't either. There is much more traffic than I remember and a few new stores but mostly it's the same ole' place.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

Last book was my favorite as well. After a couple of months, you have to go back and read the whole series again. I missed so much the first go round as I couldn't help plowing through frantically. The second read is just as good be better in a way as you can really focus on the characters...you and eric are in my prayers that the right job will find him.
