The Big Day!

We had a joint birthday party for the girls last Saturday. It was a great party and I think everyone had a good time. The party was much smaller than usual as per the request of Madison. I just let her pick who she wanted to come this year and I think it worked out great being a bit smaller and letting her pick. Above is a picture of some cute little frosting flowers I made but I couldn't get them off the parchment paper without ruining them so they never made it on the cake. I'm going to sign up for a cake decorating class at Michaels soon. I've always wanted to do that and just haven't gone through with it. It will be fun.

Eric took the girls to Hovander Park while Mom and I were getting the food and house ready for the party. This picture was taken there and I can't explain why but I absolutely love it. To me it looks like it should be on an album cover. Maybe they will be musicians and it will be their album cover picture when they grow up : )

The cake!
I did the frosting and Madison and Kennedy did all the decorations. There are a set of 5 candles for Madison and two on the other side for K.

Birthday Princess in her princess dress. My mom bought this fabric at Joann's and I sewed it up the day before the party. The fabric was just like this and I only had to put one seem down the length to make it into a dress. I think they turned out cute! Thanks grandma!

M with the cake!

Oops!

Princess Madison in front of the game we played. It was Pin the Crown on the Princess. The kids had fun playing it and it didn't take Madison long to take my job of running the game and do it all herself.

Polly took this cute shot of Kennedy (and the one above it actually). Thanks Polly, love this one! It was a really fun day! I have said it a million times but I can't believe how fast it goes!
