Day # 7 presented them with their first little Advent gift. I didn't put any gifts in last year and didn't intend to this year but I bought a package of Silly Banz just in case I needed something for that day. Today was the day because it was going to be incredibly busy.
Kennedy's preschool class went to a local Elementary School to do ginerbread houses with a class. Here she is with her buddy waiting to go into the school.
They were paired with 1st graders and it was really cute. It was a rare 1st grader that let the pre-schooler do any decorating but they had fun anyway. I think that is one of two candies Kennedy actually put on the house.
So adorable!
After they finished their houses the 1st graders read a book to them. I love this field trip and so glad I got to do it twice with Madison as well. Next year will be hard for me, it will be my last of these wonderful preschool field trips.
Madison's teacher has been sending home a couple of family projects. Last month it was the turkey that we worked on decorating and this month it was a Christmas Tree. The above picture is on one of the main bulletin boards when you walk into Madison's school. It was so fun to walk in and see the kindergartner's artwork displayed. Her tree is smack dab in the center and her gingerbread man is 3rd one on the top row.
In the evening her school had their first Pajamas and Story time, they have a couple of them a year. It was a lot of fun. I wasn't sure how it would go since it started at the same time they normally go to bed but it was great. Needless to say Kennedy made herself at home and had a great time.
It was fun for Madison to see some friends and classmates outside of the classroom. They also did several drawings for books. There was one story read to us, one story on tape and one short skit. It was a fun way to spend the evening with the girls.
