Last night I finally saw Breaking Dawn Part 1. I know how corny these movies must seem to non-fans but I love, love, loved it! A friend invited me to go and she drove and paid for my ticket, it was such a lovely treat and a celebration of me getting better (her words). Now, I can't wait to see it again!
I'm wearing a holter monitor right now. I got it on around 9:15 a.m. this morning and wear it for 24 hours. It will record all of my heart activity. After I return it the results will be sent to a cardiologist and then I will find out what they say about the weird things that have been going on.
Two nights ago was probably my worst night yet. But, last night was one of my better nights and it didn't wake me until about 5:00 a.m. Lately they have been starting when I go to bed and keeping me up really late as well as waking me several times a night. It's hit and miss but there is never a night absent of them entirely.
This is a busy weekend, especially tomorrow. In the morning Eric is taking the girls to Home Depot for the build-it workshop followed by a library activity (gift making), home for lunch, meeting friends at Olde Fashioned Christmas at Pioneer Park and then church. Then, on Sunday morning we are getting our Christmas tree. Somewhere before then I am supposed to have this house cleaned and it hasn't been cleaned since before my surgery. I have never seen it so dirty and it's haunting me. In all likelihood the little spot for the tree will get cleared out and vacuumed and everything else will have to wait until next week which is my busiest week of December. Oh well, it will get done eventually. December snuck up on me too quickly and I am officially behind.
I vowed last year that it would be my last year for sending out actual Christmas cards and that I would start sending them via email. I know this is considered tacky by many so I'm wavering. There are lots of out of town relatives I don't even have email addresses for.
I'm getting excited for an upcoming holiday pajama party I am having for girlfriends. I am asking everyone to come in pj's and to also bring a pair of new children's pajamas that will be donated. I had hopes of donating them to a local homeless shelter but then had some tips for getting them donated on a more local level here in Ferndale. I've contacted a couple of local churches, the organizer of The Holiday Giving Store and the Ferndale Community Resource Center. So far I haven't had any luck being matched with local homeless families but will figure out the best route to go. I have some good backup options but thought it would be nice to give specific size/gender pajamas to certain families so they knew they the pajamas were purchased just for them. Aside from all of that I'm looking forward to spending an evening with friends and, of course, the holiday food and drinks! I'm starting to get into the holiday spirit but will definitely be there once this monitor thing is off and I get the good results?? That's what I'm hoping anyway. Maybe it's not as serious as I think it is and maybe it will go away on it's own soon. I'm hopeful for something to go as hoped.
