Madison joined Girl Scouts this year. She was reluctant and didn't want to continue after the first meeting. We happened to be at the place where they meet a few weeks later and she wanted to give it another try. She has been enjoying it ever since. I wasn't sure how cookie selling would go. We don't have the work connections or the family close by so I was going to be shocked if she sold more than 25 (which was her goal). Well, kudos to Eric who took her out in the wind and rain door to door while she asked people if they wanted to order cookies. That girl came home having sold 84!! cookies. I know some people sell hundreds but she did SUCH a great job. I was so proud of her hard work and perseverance.
The orders came in last week so I helped her load up her orders in the wagon and she and Eric took them out and delivered them yesterday. Our lovely weather presented them with sun, rain, hail and snow in the couple of hours that they were gone.
The thing I loved most about this cookie selling venture was how proud she was of herself and how hard she worked. It was pretty darn amazing to watch.
I got so worried about them at one point I went to get them. They said they only had "4 houses to go" so Kennedy and I were on our way so they could finish what they started. WAY TO GO MADISON!!
