Wow, we went from tons of beautiful white snow yesterday to rain with tons of ugly, dirty slush today. I could have had snow for a couple of more weeks without getting sick of it at all. I love it and it's just so pretty outside. I'm just thankful we had it and that we had it ON Christmas. Apparently it's only snowed ON Christmas day (stats from the Seattle area) a handful of times since the 1800's. Can't remember the exact number it it was less than a dozen times. Pretty amazing.
I'm home alone for a while today. Eric took the girls to run some errands so I could have the house to myself and clean out Madison's room. She wouldn't let me move or get rid of anything if she was home. Normally I let her have her "collections" and "special" stuff where she wants it but it's absolutely ridiculous. I haven't done her closet yet which is the messiest so maybe I'll post a before and after so you can see how messy it got. Mind you, much of it was Christmas gifts that were just shoved on the dresser knowing I would clean it out soon but it's pretty embarrassing nonetheless. I did Kennedy's closet yesterday. I just love a cleaned out closet (I'm kinda weird that way) but don't get the gratification near as often as I would like. I'm getting rid of tons of clothes and toys that we just don't need. I tried to not go too overboard at Christmas but we still have WAY too many things and a small house so it feels good to clear it out. I shouldn't say clear it out, I should say move it from the house to the cluttered garage. Oh well, it will be a good garage sale next year : )
Well, I better stop procrastinating and get in that room while I have an empty house. Feliz Navidad! (I know Christmas is over but I'm milking it for a few more days at least, Feliz Navidad happens to be the song I'm listening to right now).
Adios!
