We had a short weekend as Eric worked Friday and Saturday. On Friday night we went to a Bingo/Pizza night fundraiser. It was fun and we won a few prizes while there but it was in a small room with LOTS of people and the noise level and tight quarters were a little too much for us. I remember we were all set to go to this same fundraiser last year and me and the girls were at the mall that day. I had gotten some candy for someone as a gift and I got a small bag of M&M's for us. I gave Madison a few and told her that was it. She was begging and begging for more so I told her she could have one more M&M OR we could go to the Bingo night never thinking she would actually choose just one M&M over a fun night out that she had been looking forward to. Well, I was wrong and she wanted the M&M so we missed it. It taught me never to assume what their answer will be when you give them a choice. Instant gratification is hard to resist for any of us.
After Eric got off work yesterday we babysat two kiddos while their parents got a date night. It was tons of fun and the kids had the best time. It made me realize Madison hasn't really had many play dates lately and I need to schedule more of them.
Today we went to church and then to Fred Meyer for a few groceries. We've been home ever since and I've been researching health insurance since I've been without it since last October. It's hard to choose which one but before the end of the night I will decide and order it. I've been doing some cooking for the week and still need to do quite a bit more. I'm making a big pot of chili and a tofu/wheat berry salad that has been a two day process. Hope it's good. I let Madison pick what she wanted for dinner at the store and she chose some thin turkey cutlets but I'm not sure what to do with them since I've never made them before. Don't think it will be too difficult to figure out something which reminds me I better get in there and get started since dinner is soon.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
