This has been on my to-do list for a long time but there are so many things on that list that I don't always get to the things until later than I want. Regardless, I ordered a couple of these today (see link above). They are Smart Power Strips and I think everyone should have one. They say they will pay for themselves within six weeks. When you turn off your TV, computer, printer, DVD player, stereo, etc. it still uses energy called idle current. This energy accounts for a large amount of the monthly energy bill we pay for. These Smart Power Strips will actually turn off ALL power to your equipment when you turn off your TV, computer, etc. So, whether you want to reduce your carbon footprint or just your monthly electricity bill these are worth a look. I got one for my computer and computer components and a smaller one for my TV and stereo components.
