Here is a picture of my four raised vegetable beds. I only planted three of them so far and will plant the other one soon so I will end up with a little bit of staggered goodness. I'm the worst gardener and didn't even mark where I planted anything so it will be a fun surprise to guess what's growing, ha. There is actually something already growing, Madison spotted three or four things popping up today. Fun Fun!!
Swing set ready. These pictures were taken this morning and Eric has been working at getting it level all day. It's finally ready and tomorrow we will attempt to start putting it together. Will be an interesting
endeavor. It's still so overwhelming with all the yard work that's left to do. As you can see we haven't even mowed the backyard. I think I'm going to rent a pressure washer tomorrow to power wash the deck, patio and lawn furniture. I am tempted to buy one so we'll have it to do the house and driveway whenever we need to but Eric is trying to talk me out of it.
Daddy's helper! Our backyard is not level so we had to dig quite a bit down to get the plot ready. We have had so much dirt that has been hauled away over the past couple of weeks. We paid good money for that dirt a couple of years ago : (
It's been pretty fun being outside the past couple of weekends. The weather has been great and the girls have tons of fun. We've ruined some clothing from the girls getting so filthy but it's worth it. I'll be glad when it's complete but after the structure is up we'll lay weed fabric, build a retaining wall around the whole perimeter and then fill with 6 inches of pea gravel that will be delivered. Far from done but once the structure is up the girls will have something to occupy them while we work on the rest. Fun times ahead in the backyard, can't wait!!!
