What A Day

What an amazing Halloween we had! Ad the girls get older the holidays become so amazing. The day started off with a trip to Michaels Craft store for Eric and the girls. They had a fun Halloween make it and take it craft and they were giving away Halloween buckets, balloons and treats. Last time Madison was there she saw the above coloring book and desperately wanted it. We weren't buying things that day but she was told she could buy it with her own money next time we went there if she really wanted it. She had $4.30 in her wallet and when they went there yesterday morning it came to $4.33. Madison had a little stash of some change (4 cents to be exact) in the car so they went out and got it. It was a great lesson in buying something with her own money. She was so proud of herself afterwards and really loves her new coloring book.

I was studying on Halloween morning so after Michaels Eric took the girls to CTK's Trunk or Treat with their new buckets and balloons in tow. They had a great time and filled their buckets more than halfway in no time. There was no boring candy to be seen, they got chocolate and more chocolate - YUMMY!

I'm not sure what I was thinking but I had several more activities planned for Halloween day and realized the night before I had to cut a few things out. We missed a great Halloween party and skipped the trick or treating excitement in Fairhaven. I think some downtime in the afternoon was a great plan. This was the best Halloween ever, the girls had so much fun!
