The last few weeks have been so busy that I haven't had much time to blog. I thought I would add in a few pictures (the only pictures) I have taken in the last few weeks.
Above the girls are painting some toilet paper rolls.
The brown toilet paper rolls and a few pieces of construction paper made a great campfire to go along with the tent we set up in the living room. For some reason I didn't think it would take up so much room. By the way, this tent is STILL up in the living room. Eric and the girls have been camping in it on the weekends. It will probably get taken down this weekend after one more camp out. Some cotton balls on a long skewer also made great S'mores.
Madison and the love of her life. It makes my heart happy to see how much love everyone has given to Hailey and how welcomed she was in our family. She is the sweetest little pooch and we feel blessed to have her with us. It's not all sunshine and roses though, she is a young pup still and she likes to eat food off plates that are left unattended on the dining room table and even the kitchen counter.
This is what I found when I went in to go to bed a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately/fortunately Eric was just about to get up to make the long drive to Idaho for work. He worked 3 weeks in Idaho coming home only twice in between for a day and a half. He was getting up around 10:30 p.m. and leaving around 11:00 p.m. to drive all night and then work a 10 hour day. Thankfully he is now with a company in Seattle (although still temporary) for a few months (hopefully). It is still a super commute but at least he is home to see his girls each night.
Madison had a half day last week and we had a lovely walk with Hailey and her new Easy Walk Harness (LOVE that thing) after we dropped her sister at preschool. This was a great afternoon with Madison and Hailey!
The next day I walked to The Woods with Kennedy (she was in the stroller, of course) but we made a pit stop to deposit my ballot.
We tried out the dog park at Lake Padden on Sunday. I thought the off leash fenced in area would have been bigger, it wasn't much bigger than our backyard so I doubt we will go there again. At least not until we can enjoy the off leash dog area that is outside of the fence. We started dog training lessons last night so we haven't gotten too "Come" yet. That will be our biggest challenge with this bird dog.
We enjoyed a little walk while we were there.
Aw!
We still don't know what is causing Kennedy's tummy aches or rashes. She has had an x-ray, two blood draws, ultrasound and numerous doctor visits and phone calls. We go see an allergist in a couple of weeks and then head own to Children's in about 3 1/2 weeks. The whole thing is getting to me and stressing me out but I'm trying to be patient and trust we'll figure this out soon. It's hard to see your little one struggling with not feeling well and now we had added anxiety on top of it from all of the doctor visits and blood draws. She has been such a trooper but she has had enough too.
