Couple of random things....

Okay, so I had a little rant on FB yesterday saying how I was done trying to stay positive and how the past few weeks have sucked. I felt kinda bad after I did that because I know what a hard time people are going through (and what a hard time we recently went through) with money/jobs/etc. I have been trying to stay sane the past few weeks with Eric working overtime and I think I could have continued to do that if it weren't for all the illness. I have a horrible cold and the cough is killing my throat. I am feeling completely worn out/worn down/exhausted/frustrated/etc./etc. I have been the worst mom to my kids over the past few weeks and Madison and I had our worst day EVER yesterday (notice it was the same day I posted that comment on FB). Eric is home now with no more overtime scheduled right away so now I can take a step back and take a breath. So, although I was at the end of my rope yesterday I am extremely thankful for the overtime Eric has been putting in and for the job he has. By the way, if you are on FB and saw my post I am going to meet with a couple of gals next week to give me an estimate on housecleaning. Looks like it will be between $50-$75.00 to clean the whole house. Totally reasonable for a one time thing I think. Now, how dirty can we get the house before they clean?

Our plans for this weekend included digging out the area of grass where we are going to put our play structure and then leveling the land out. Eric stopped by after work to pick up the sod cutter to find out they accidentally rented it to someone else and it wouldn't be back until Monday. DANG! So, he will need to do it by hand which is probably pretty unreasonable or do it next weekend and we could have the structure here by then. Not that huge of a deal but there are so many other projects we need to do that we could have planned ahead and gotten the materials to do them tomorrow. I need to get my gardens planted but we need the compost and didn't plan to do it this weekend so we can't get it on Easter. Anyway, just a minor setback and the more I think about it the more I think it's someone trying to tell us to not work too hard this weekend following all the stress/overtime and frustration we have all been under. Not to mention....it's Easter tomorrow! Happy Easter everyone!!!
