After several emails back and forth between me and the house "cleaner" I formally requested a 50% refund. She agreed and that's that! It probably helped that I also asked for her business license number. What a mess but I feel much better that I didn't just let her rip me off like that and that I'm getting half my money back. I'm over it, too much stress and frustration over something so unimportant.
