Too Tired to Blog

I started a blog two nights ago but was too tired to finish. I looked at it again yesterday and it didn't make much sense (as I wrote it around midnight) so I'll nix that post and move on. My thoughts were interesting (to me, ha ha) but I couldn't make sense of what I was trying to say (no surprise there).
This post will be short as we've got a full day ahead of us. I am literally moving in slow motion these past few days. I am exhausted by school and the long days. We are done with the dry lecture and now it's clinical time. If I think I am exhausted now next week is going to kick my butt! I'll be starting 8 hour shifts on Tuesday as well as giving a presentation the first night at 9:30 p.m. Who feels like giving a presentation at 9:30 p.m.? Thankfully it will be short and painless (hopefully). The clinicals, however, won't be. My first patient is completely dependent, incontinent, can't feed herself, etc. At least I'll get some good practice in right off the bat. I do think I'll enjoy clinicals, we got to the facility yesterday and there was a 100 year old man wheeling around the place talking to everybody. I thought he was awesome. I do think it would be a terribly hard place to work as you would get attached to the residents who wouldn't be around all that long.
I'll try to post a few pictures later from the past few days. We've been getting some good strawberries with more and more each day. I think I'm going to rip them out this year though because we have worms in about 1/3 of them. Eric didn't check them very well yesterday and Kennedy was eating a strawberry out of the bowl with two worms in it (the bowl...not her strawberry).
Today we are going strawberry picking at Boxx Berry Farm. These are not organic strawberries but they will be worm free. We love going there each year and loading up on strawberries. I also want to try and hit the B'ham Farmers Market today. We are getting ready to head out to Hovander for our gardening class. We get to plant some stuff today to bring home (flowers and seedums). We are having so much fun in that class and haven't left there yet without bringing something home which I didn't know we were going to get to do. I planted some pumpkin starts last week that we brought home. I have no idea how they will do but it would be fun to have some pumpkins in the fall.
Gotta run, the kids are getting their sunscreen on and I'm still sitting in bed at my computer. We've got to skedaddle and soak up some of this beautiful sunshine!
