Time at Home

We are spending more time at home now that Hailey has joined our family. It's been good for all of us. The love affair that has been growing between Madison and Hailey makes me smile. Madison is so good with her and so responsible, she is worried about her and makes sure she is well taken care of, played with and exercised.

Hailey is not supposed to be on the beds. She, however, has other ideas.

After school continues to be our biggest challenge. Madison spends all day be a model student and comes home no longer able to be "perfect". She lets loose on all of us and sibling rivalry is at it's height right now. I dug deep to come up with some positive ideas on how we can approach it. I felt exhausted because I feel like we have tried everything. This is probably more of a variation of things we have tried as opposed to something new but when you put things on a poster board they suddenly become cool and important. She is over the moon for her new board, her basket full of supplies (that are for after school ONLY) and her cozy place we fixed up in her room. I hope this works, she said she wished she could go to school today so she could come and go to her special spot after school. At least I know she is very excited about it.

She enjoyed coming up with ideas for her board. Moral of the story...if you are trying to get your kids on board and excited about something put it on a poster board (and stickers never hurt)!
