Whether it was irresponsible of me or not to take two sick kids out in this cold I had to do it. Days inside turn me into something I DON'T want to be and I had to leave this afternoon. We went to the mall, yikes! I couldn't think of anywhere else to go and I needed KLEENEX since we have used it all up on our drains...I mean noses. There is also nothing I find more disgusting than the play area at the mall (except maybe the play area at McDonald's) but I let them play for a little bit. Yes, even more irresponsible since they are sick. Ugh, I was a bad mama today. Right now I hear Kennedy screaming from the bedroom but Eric finally made it home so I'm going to let him handle it.
Anyway, what do the rest of you do? Maybe I just haven't parented very well and allowed my kids to act badly when we are at home. Maybe we don't have enough practice. Maybe I'm just a sucky parent but I can't handle days at home. I'm just not cut out for it. It was partially that nobody was feeling very good but even on healthy days I find it very difficult. My kids are so demanding, ugh.
Anyway, we survived and had a much better afternoon since we left the house. I stocked up on Kleenex and Eric isn't working tomorrow so we're good to go!!!
By the way, what's all the fuss about with the roads. They were fine. Bakerview was a bit icy but nothing too drastic and the freeway was completely bare. I saw cars with actual chains on! Crazy.

Jennifer, you are one of the best moms that I know! Sometimes we just have to get out...it's called cabin fever. Don't be so hard on yourself :-)
p.s. we were one of those crazy people with chains on today! And we needed them...SV is a nightmare and we almost ran over a sledder on our way home who was sledding down the street where you turn onto our cul-de-sac!
