I'm sure I posted this recipe around the time I started my blog but I thought I would post it again. It's my favorite homemade concoction. If you can't afford or don't want to spend the extra money on organic produce this wash helps get rid of the pesticide residue on our produce.
1 Cup Vinegar
1 Cup Water
1 T Baking Soda
20 Drops Grapefruit Seed Extract
The Baking Soda makes it bubble up a lot (have the kids watch for a science experiment) so mix it in a large bowl and when it settles down pour it in a spray bottle. Spray fruits and veggies with wash and let sit 5 minutes before rinsing.
I've also posted this before but if you are wondering which produce has the most pesticide residue and which ones don't see the following website. I have tried to buy the ones on the dirty dozen list organically or find something else if the price is really high.
