The Berries

Today we picked 28 lbs. of strawberries. We filled all three of our buckets. It didn't take too long and now we'll have berries for months to come.

Here are the makings for dessert tonight. Strawberry Shortcake!

But, before we start dinner or dessert we'll have a smoothie.

Success, everybody loved them!

Now, on to dinner. Let's make the whipped cream first.

The berries were very ripe. We had three full boxes and by the time we had smoothies, ate dozens of them, sliced a bunch that are in the fridge, made strawberry shortcake and froze two trays that filled 6 quarts I still have one more box in the fridge. Tomorrow I'll freeze those too.
