Beauty and the Beast

On March 3rd Eric and I took the girls to the High School's production of Beauty and the Beast. I knew this would be fun but I had no idea HOW much fun it would be. Before the play they did a "Tea with Belle". They sold out of these tickets very quickly and I am so glad we got some in time. This was almost better than the play. The room was decorated beautifully and they practically had a meal on their plates. We were just expecting tea and they had tons of food, punch and so much more. The girls absolutely loved it!

They both dressed up fancy and couldn't wait to see Belle. They chose a round table for just the two of them. I'm glad we got there a few minutes early because the room filled up quickly.

Here is Belle signing their autograph books. The girls were in awe of her. They also each got a lighted rose that they got to light up at one point during the play. We also got special seating right in front. All of this extra special treatment and tea with Belle was just $5.00 for each kid. SO worth it!

Here is a picture of what they got. A cupcake, crackers, tea sandwich and grapes. Cast members also came in and served more. I think Madison had 3 or 4 sandwiches, she loved them. They also got a picture to color during the tea.

That's my girl!

Filling up the punch. I was a bit worried about all the sugar right before sitting through a play but they both did great.

Getting more autographs. They also got a special photo with Belle that they got to pick up after the play was over.

The girls loved all the different costumes.

My girls have never seen Beauty and the Beast (the movie) so I wasn't sure how they would react to The Beast. Kennedy got a little bit scared when there was smoke and when he got hurt in the forest but they both did great.

The candle stick was one of my favorites!

Waiting for the show to begin.

They loved it and after it was over they got to go up and explore the set. I'm so glad we have the opportunity to take the girls to some live theatre. I never went to anything like this as a kid and I love taking them and seeing their faces. This was Kennedy's first time at a full length production so I'm looking forward to taking her again soon.
