The next day we headed up to The Greater Vancouver Zoo. We had memberships to the Woodland Park Zoo and Pacific Science Center for years so we never ventured North to explore. Since all of our memberships have expired we are trying some new things. We caught the bird program and this owl was so cool. It's name was Hagrid.
This was a falcon and it was so fast. On our way up to the zoo Madison was telling us that the fasted animal was the cheetah. At this program they told us the fasted animal on earth was the falcon so it was a great teaching moment about land animals vs. other animals. This falcon was named Frodo.
Eric volunteered and Frodo landed on his arm.

Kennedy was chasing the peacock around the playground.
There she goes. It was raining quite a bit of the time we were there but it added to the fun. We had a great time and hope to explore more of Canada this summer.
