Yesterday I took Madison to a free tennis clinic. She was nervous and didn't have any prior experience with it so I wasn't sure how she would feel about it. It wasn't 20 seconds after she was done that she was begging me to sign her up for lessons, she LOVED it! I don't know if this will last but I've been waiting for her to find something that she really enjoys. It's hard for Madison to take the leap with new things but I know there are so many things she will enjoy when she is ready to take that step. I'm so proud of her for doing this clinic despite how nervous she was. She was beaming all day and couldn't wait to get a tennis racquet all her own so we went to Big 5 and got her one.
She didn't let the fact that all of the other kids seemed to have prior experience discourage her. She was also nervous and wanted to leave once she saw that the instructor was a boy but he was AMAZING! He was so great with the kids. She actually wanted him, specifically, for her lessons.
I am signing her up for a couple of weeks this summer but he won't be her instructor. She'll be with another "boy" but I hear he is great with the kids.

How fun that she likes tennis. I played when I was little and had a blast.
