This was the most anticipated day all summer for Madison. She has been talking about turning six for months and could not wait until the day she could use two hands to show how old she was. I'm not sure what it was but when we woke up on her birthday she did seem older to me. Maybe it was me looking at her differently and seeing just how big she has gotten and how much she is maturing but it was a bit startling. I am blessed to be the mother of a beautiful young lady but I'm not sure I'm ready. I had better get ready...FAST!
Of course the present opening had to be the first thing we did. She has been wanting The Little House Collection and was excited to open it.
A book she picked out a while back at Costco. Thankfully she had forgotten about it.
A kickstand for her bike since it doesn't have one.
One of my favorites!
Bracelets. This girl loves her jewelry.
Pencil pouch.
Another Worry Doll, she loves these little dolls under her pillow at night.
Doctor Scrubs just like Kennedy got for her birthday.
New shoes for school. She picked these out too. She is officially out of little kid sizes and on to size 1.
I'm not very good about keeping things a secret from her. I gave her the big gift a couple of weeks before her birthday. She has been wanting a digital camera so badly and loves taking pictures so I got her this one from Craigslist a while back. Unfortunately, the lady sold it to me with a battery that wouldn't charge so I had to order a new one. No matter, it works great now and she loves it!
She had fun opening her gifts and when that was out of the way we were ready to get on with the activities we had planned.
