Last week Kennedy had her preschool orientation day. She was so proud of herself and I was so proud of her. I had the most fun taking her to the preschool she has gone to so many times for her sister and watching her do all the things she couldn't do last year. She was literally beaming. She is standing in front of her cubby in this picture. I can't get over how ready she is for preschool.
She wasted no time and got right down to business starting with the doll house.
We went on a scavenger hunt to find different places in the church and she got to put a stamp in the box when we found what we were looking for. This was fun for a little while but she wanted to PLAY!
Done, finally. Time to play.
This purple bike is going to be the source of some frustration this year. She loves it, it's just like her bike (except for the color) and there is only one. This will be a good tool for teaching patience and sharing.
On to the teeter totter...
and slide.
Then there was a story time and song circle before snack. Notice Kennedy's face. I don't think she liked me taking all the pictures.
God is listening, God is listening, Fold your hands, Fold your hands.
Let's all pray together, let's all pray together, Bow your heads, Bow your heads.
God is Great, God is Good, and we thank Him for this food. Amen.
Time for a little pray and snack.
Oh my! This girl scares me at how independent she is. She is ready to go and do and I need to get on board. She is strong, capable, smart and funny. I know she is going to do great at preschool. She made it very clear to me before we left that day that she didn't want me to stay. She said, "I don't need help". I'm afraid she is right. Congratulations Miss Kennedy, you are going to soar this year and I can't wait to watch you.
