Pillowcase Nightgowns

I saw a great idea to make nightgowns out of pillowcases so I thought I would try to make the girls some. Here are the pillowcases I bought. Several months ago my kids decided they don't want to wear pajamas any longer. They wear dresses to bed. I have been wanting to get them some pretty nightgowns but they are all treated in flame retardant. Making our own was the only option for a nightgown so I gave it a whirl.

Once or twice a year I break out the sewing machine because I think of a project I want to take on. It never takes me long to wonder what I got myself into. I am really awful at sewing but my girls don't care. They love anything I make. I'm not sure how long that will last but so far they are forgiving of my mistakes.

Getting there...

The completed nightgowns. The girls saw the pillowcases but didn't know I was staying up tonight to make the nightgowns. They will see them in the morning and be so excited. I can't wait to see the girls in them.
