Hailey: Day Deux

Hailey seems to be fitting right in and making herself at home. Madison really wanted her to sleep in her bedroom last night (in her crate) so I agreed to try it with the assumption that she would have to be moved out if any of them couldn't sleep. They all did great. Madison went to sleep and Hailey didn't make a peep all night. She did wake easily when we would turn on the hall light but she just quietly looked up and didn't make a sound.

Look....she really does stop running, at least for brief moments. Madison played ball with her in the backyard for nearly an hour this morning before school. She spent quite a bit of time outside today and yesterday so she is getting dirty quickly. I wouldn't mind the "dirty" part so much but she is also getting smelly. A friend told me today this kind of dog can be smelly. Oh joy! I'm going to call the vet tomorrow and see how often I can bathe her because I don't think you are supposed to bathe them as often as I would like (daily).

She is growing more and more on all of us. She is so sweet and so playful. The kids just adore her and Eric was outside playing with her all by himself for quite a while well after dark tonight.
She is quickly become a third child! Welcome, Miss Hailey!

I healthy diet will much improve her smell. If she was on poor quality food it will take about 6 weeks for it to get out of her system. Then she should start smelling much better. They do not smell that bad if they are kept on a healthy diet and kept inside and not out in a kennel.
