Pajama Party

This year I hosted a Holiday Pajama Party. Guests were encouraged to wear their pajamas but, more importantly, they were asked to bring a pair of cozy children's pajamas. I LOVE getting the girls new pajamas and I couldn't think of a better gift for a child than a new pair of pj's.

We ended up with 10 pairs. All of my guests helped vote on which place they would be donated to and they ended up going to The Agape House in Bellingham. The Agape House is a homeless shelter for women and children, they rely on donations and have no federal funding. The woman I corresponded with said many of their children don't even have a pair of pajamas and the donation would be put to very good use.

As usual we had the opening of the white elephant gifts. Unfortunately this is the only picture I took of the entire party. Lucky Bliss!
I didn't get pictures of ALL OF THE FOOD, all of the games we played (my favorite part), or all of the lovely ladies that came to celebrate the season, friendship, and giving. If I hadn't planned it so far in advance I probably wouldn't have done it. I still wasn't feeling great since the surgery and was really tired. I'm so glad I had done it though, it was such a spirit booster to be around friends and just having fun in the spirit of the holidays. I don't know what I would do without my friends.

A few days after the party the girls and I got to deliver some holiday cheer. We made our first stop at The Ferndale Food Bank to deliver 24 lbs. of food.

The lady was so nice and she asked if she could take a picture of the girls giving their donation. The girls felt so good about their delivery. She said it may end up in The Record Journal so I had better be checking on that.
After that we delivered the pajamas to The Agape House. It was a day of feeling grateful for being able to help in the small way we did.

that party was so much fun and such a fun idea to make it a party of giving as well as play. My mil loved her ornament ;)
