In July we camped three night at Birch Bay. It was a lot of fun to camp there. Here are the girls on the bridge on the way to the Bay.
We had lots of fun playing on the beach in the late afternoon.
The big tree/drift wood is always lots of fun.
Some friends came out to play.
Madison earning her keep around camp.
The spot we had didn't have any privacy. As you can see in the picture above there were people camping right there. The great thing was that the little girl and Kennedy became instant friends and were inseparable. Her name was Claire. The problem was that the path between their camp and ours went directly by the fire pit so Eric strung it off. You can see, though, that Kennedy is on he wrong side of the string. At least there was no fire yet.
My little animal chewing on the string.
I love how much my girls love camping. I remember camping only once as a kid and it rained so hard our tent got wet inside and we came home in the middle of the night. I hope my girls have wonderful memories of these camping trips when they grow up.
More beach play.
Madison found a little friend (caterpillar on her jacket).
Good morning, sunshine!
We headed home on July 4th from our 3 nights. We had a great time and can't wait to go back again. It's fun to camp close to home.

What a fun trip, so nice to be close to home yet get away. K looks like how I feel in the morning. I think I make that exact face when the alarm goes off.
