2 1/2 Months Behind

I'm really (really) far behind on my blogging. It's been a crazy summer and I just didn't have time. Today Kennedy started her first day of preschool and before I allow myself to run errands or read a book I am going to work on catching up. I likely won't finish today since it takes forever for Blogger to upload photos but I'll get started. Some actual free time to do whatever I choose will be my motivation : )
A little catch up before I tackle the pictures....Eric seems to be working a little more steady than before. He has actually had a couple of full 40 hour weeks in a row which is thrilling. He has recently gotten calls from two other fire sprinkler companies (one in Seattle and one in Oregon) from when he was sending resumes all over the place. That is a good sign that things might be slowly picking up. He called them and thanked them hopefully keeping the doors open if necessary but he's finally getting some hours so he couldn't accept either job.
I fear the girls may be over scheduled a bit in the coming weeks. Eric won a membership to a local karate place so the girls will go twice a week and they also start dance class this week. If it ends up seeming too much I'll drop something but we hadn't counted on the karate classes when I signed them up for dance. Madison will also be doing Girl Scouts a couple of times a month.
I can't even describe how much better this year is going than last year at the same time. Madison has matured so much and the new teacher/new class are working out well. She is almost technically a 2nd grader (if she had been born 3 days earlier she would have been) so she was very ready for a change and more challenges. I hope high hopes of an incredible year. Our elementary school is in danger of being closed down after this year so this could be her last year there with lots of changes to endure next year so I'm going to really enjoy her first grade year as much as I possibly can.
I'm not in school right now. Aside from one class that I won't technically need for a couple of years I am done with the prerequisites and just waiting to start the program. I am not starting until next fall because Kennedy will still be home with me this year except for a few hours at preschool. I feel a little unproductive but I can tell this year is going to be busy already.
This is getting long and boring so I had better go start looking over photos and loading some. I should be better about blogging now that I'll have a bit of free time now.
