Season of Service

This summer our church did several big community service projects. Eric and Madison signed up to help the project of painting two Nooksack Schools in one day. Kennedy and I dropped them off early in the morning with their ladders in hand.

Kennedy and I headed to Million Smiles Park in Lynden to play while they painted. The red shoes she is sporting were a yard sale find on the way to the park. She HAD to have them even though they were one size too small.

We ran into the high school student, Natascha, who helped out in her preschool class last year. She was so happy to see her!

We picked Madison and Eric up in the afternoon after a very long and hot day. I was so proud of Madison, Eric said she painted the entire day and worked so hard. I love that my daughter is learning the value of service projects and hope to find more we can do together. She was very proud of herself!
