We thought it was time to give the girls a new bedroom. These are pictures of the room "Before".
Before picture minus the bed which we moved into Kennedy's room. The girls each have their own room but have chosen to share a bed in Madison's room. Kennedy's room didn't have a bed since they were sharing Madison's once she moved out of her crib.
White, white walls.
We have never painted any walls in our house and we were overdue.
The colors we went with weren't neutral. We went with TURQUOISE!
What a good helper!
One coat. Yikes, that is a bright color!
After two coats.
The other two walls are a cafe au' latte color, I really love this neutral color.
The two neutral walls.
Painting is exhausting! This is our bed, by the way. Madison didn't like the unfamiliar feeling of sleeping in Kennedy's room.
The new bunk bed. We got them a full over full because they insisted on sleeping together and they insisted on sleeping on top. (They have yet to sleep on top)
Putting the bedding on.
Ta-Da! Quite a change from the white and pale pink colors.
Starting to put it all together.
It's starting to look like a bedroom.
We are all thrilled with how it turned out. It was so much fun.
Since these pictures there have been a couple of things added like a pink rug and new lamp.
It was so much fun doing Madison's room that we thought Kennedy needed a remodel as well (even if she doesn't sleep in there).
Turquoise wasn't bright enough for us so we had to go with "Vivid Green" in her room.
We used the same cafe au' latte color for the other two walls in her room. It turned out really cool.
