Farm Tour

We decided to do the Whatcom County Farm Tour again this year. We always have so much fun checking out the different farms around our county. We started off at an Alpaca Farm and learned some fun facts about these animals.

Then we headed to Half Acre Farms. This is the farm we have been going to just about every weekend all summer to pick our produce for the week. We got some kale, potatoes, zucchini, carrots and onions. Kennedy loves running around barefoot in the dirt here and this particular day was no exception.

The girls have really had fun harvesting veggies. Madison is a great veggie eater.

Onions!

Eric has even gotten into the whole veggie harvesting thing.

After Half Acre we went to Boxx Berry (which is technically all at the same place) for free strawberry sundaes.

Ice Cream = Very Happy Girls!

We took a tractor ride.

I love this picture.

I lost count of how many times Kennedy rode this thing, she loved it!

We got free corn on the cob and we had our picnic lunch here as well. We picked up some corn, blueberries and a few other veggies from the farm store. The kids played at both parks and we ended up staying here for almost three hours. We ran out of time to hit any other farm that day but we were all having so much fun it didn't matter.

The farm tour is so much fun, I didn't go this year but wish I had. How fun that you get to harvest you own vegetables at Half Acre.
