The girls and I met my mom in Oregon for a little vacation this summer. We met near Portland which is half way between her and us. This photo was taken outside of the hotel once we all got there. We were all glad to have arrived.
This trip was a birthday celebration trip since they wanted to stay in a hotel instead of have a birthday party so we did plenty of celebrating. I got the girls Build a Bear gift cards for their birthday and we went to a mall nearby to build bears!
We had not done this before and I had no idea how involved it was. It was the sweetest process. The girls got the pick the heart for their new bunny (they chose pink bunnies) and the associate went through a process to personalize the hearts.
Kennedy thought the machine was a little loud. She is so subtle.
Once they were stuffed they got to brush them and give them an air bath.
They were running low on stuffing when we were there so they asked the girls to help load the stuffiteria.
They both love their bunnies so much!
The next day we headed to Seaside. Last time we met my mom in Portland we stopped at this same little roadside garden stand so it was fun to stop there again. It's called Jim Dandy's.
I love this summer dress.
After lunch, ice cream and some shopping around the girls got their suits on and were ready to hit the beach. Kennedy is so chill!
We had so much fun playing in the water and waiting for the waves to hit us.
We had recently watched a movie called Soul Surfer about Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm in a shark attack. We did plenty of talking about sharks to reassure Madison there were no sharks up that close to the shore.
We had such lovely weather and the water was so nice.
We also had some fun playing in the sand.
Thankfully there were showers to rinse off some of the sand. We did bring plenty back with us though. A fun day!

that build a bear looks like so much fun. The water looked pretty, hopefully not to cold :)
